Mr. Nissim Bedekar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Japanese in The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. Studied in Waseda University, Tokyo for 1 year and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies for 2 years as a recipient of Japanese government scholarships. Taught Special Diploma in Japanese Translation and Civilization at University of Pune from 2005 till 2009. Teaching in EFLU since 2009. Has published Marathi translations of short story collections of Japanese authors and written a culture handbook on Japan in Marathi. Has contributed translations of Japanese literature to several Marathi newspapers and magazines.
